When a contractor's AI looks for a machine, make sure it can read yours.

For construction equipment dealers and rental houses. Contractors are starting to ask AI assistants for a machine by size, hours and attachments, and whether to buy, rent or rent to own. Lehvel keeps your machines, attachments and status accurate and current, so the assistant finds the right one and sends the contractor to you.

“Compact” isn't a spec

A contractor asks for a compact excavator. Compact is a sales label, and makers draw the line in different places. What answers the question is the operating weight. An AI assistant that only sees the word “compact” can't tell a 2-ton machine from an 8-ton one.

Attachments are their own records

A machine's PIN identifies the machine, not the bucket, thumb or coupler on it. Those have their own serials, or none, and they come and go between machines. If they only show up in the photos, an assistant can't tell whether the thumb is part of the deal.

Buy, rent, rent-to-own, auction

Every state is a different answer. On the lot, out on rent until a date, rent-to-own, consigned to auction. An assistant that sees only “in stock” or “sold” gives a contractor the wrong idea.

Rates and prices are yours to publish. Rental rates and sale prices are stated when you choose, and current when stated. “Call for price” is a fact, too.

Unknown is kept, not dropped. A machine with no hours stated still appears, marked “hours not confirmed,” so the contractor can ask.

One request, five steps

A contractor asks: “Find a used compact excavator under 2,500 hours with a hydraulic thumb within 100 miles that I can finance.” For your machine to be the answer, five things have to be true.

What Lehvel does

One record per machine. PIN, operating weight, hours, attachments and status, read from your listings, then your DMS or rental system. Each fact keeps its source and time.

Hours from the machine, with permission. Where your machines report hours through the manufacturer's telematics, the record can use that, and says so.

One record of the dealership. Stores, yards, hours, brands, service territory and parts, the same on your site, Google and the assistants contractors use. We call it Business Truth.

A check on what AI actually says. We ask ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity about your stores, your brands and specific machines, and compare the answers with your record.

A controlled way to ask. One action: an inquiry that reaches your team. It never holds a machine, quotes a rental contract or approves credit.

What's live and what isn't

Live today. Websites, search presence, checks of what the major AI assistants say about a business, and one managed record of the business behind it.

Building. The machine record with operating weight, attachments and rental status, read-only answers for assistants, and one inquiry that lands with your team. We want one equipment dealer to build it with first.

Not on the table yet. Holds, rental contracts, credit decisions or trade values through an AI assistant.

Find out where you stand

Check My Business shows what AI assistants say about your dealership today, where your listings disagree, and what to fix first. A person at Lehvel reviews the findings before they're sent. No credit card required.

Questions

We run a rental fleet as well as sales. Does this cover it?

Yes. A machine's status says whether it's for sale, out on rent until a date, rent-to-own or consigned to auction, so an assistant answers each case correctly.

Do we need to replace our DMS or rental system?

No. We read what you already publish first, then a feed or export from the systems you already run.

Our used machines also go to auction. Is that a problem?

No. A machine consigned to auction is marked that way, so an assistant doesn't send a contractor to your lot for it.

Can an AI assistant reserve a machine or start a rental through Lehvel?

No. The one action is an inquiry a person on your team answers.
