When a shopper asks AI for a floorplan, be the dealer it finds.
For RV dealers. Shoppers are starting to describe the camper they want to an AI assistant: how many it sleeps, what it weighs, which floorplan. Lehvel keeps your units, floorplans and status accurate and current, so the assistant can find the right one on your lot and send the shopper to you.
Shoppers ask in floorplans, not stock numbers
Nobody asks for stock number 24-1187. They ask for a travel trailer that sleeps six, under 6,000 pounds, with bunks, near Denver. An AI assistant answers from whatever it can read about your units, and an RV's answer lives in details most listings bury.
| Compared | What the shopper asks | What has to be on your unit page |
|---|---|---|
| Sleeps | How many it sleeps | Sleeping capacity as the maker states it |
| Floorplan | Bunkhouse, rear kitchen, front living | The floorplan code, like 24BHX, in text, not only in a drawing |
| Class | Travel trailer, fifth wheel, toy hauler, Class A, B or C | The class on every unit |
| Size and weight | Will it fit my site, how heavy is it | Length, dry weight and GVWR, each with its unit |
| Status | Is it actually here | In stock, incoming, consigned or sold, with when that was last confirmed |
| Where | Which store | The rooftop it sits at and that store's hours |
Where RV inventory breaks
The same trailer sits on your website, RV Trader, a Facebook post and a Google vehicle listing, each a copy updated on its own schedule. The consigned unit sold privately last week and is still everywhere. The incoming order shows as in stock. The weight is in a PDF brochure for last year's model.
Your sales team knows which copy is right. An AI assistant can't tell, so it answers from whichever it found first, or sends the shopper to a dealer whose listing was cleaner.
Towing is the shopper's call, not the assistant's
State the numbers, not the verdict. Dry weight, GVWR and hitch weight come from the maker, with the unit. Whether a shopper's truck can pull it depends on their truck, and the assistant should hand them the numbers, not a yes.
Consigned is a different promise. A unit you sell for an owner can disappear without your system knowing. It's marked as consigned, so an assistant says so instead of calling it in stock.
Unknown is an answer. If the last confirmed status is three days old, the honest answer is “call the store to confirm,” not “available.”
One request, five steps
A shopper tells their AI assistant: “Find a travel trailer that sleeps six, under 6,000 pounds dry, that a dealer near Denver has in stock, and ask them about it.” For your store to be the answer, five things have to be true.
| Compared | The assistant's job | What has to be true about your dealership |
|---|---|---|
| Discover | Find RV dealers near Denver with travel trailers | AI knows your rooftops and the brands you sell |
| Understand | Read each trailer correctly | Floorplan, sleeps, class, length and dry weight are in text on the unit page |
| Qualify | Check sleeps six, under 6,000 pounds, and actually on the lot | Each number has its unit; status carries the time it was confirmed |
| Contact | Reach the right store | The rooftop, its hours and its sales contact are published and agree with Google |
| Act | Send an inquiry about that unit | A structured inquiry reaches your sales team with the unit attached. It's a question, not a hold |
What Lehvel does
One record per unit. VIN, year, make, model, floorplan, sleeps, length and weights, read from the inventory pages you already publish and then from your feed. Every fact keeps where it came from and when.
Status with a time on it. In stock, incoming, consigned, on hold or sold, answered only from a current reading. An old reading becomes “ask the store,” never “available.”
One record of the dealership. Rooftops, hours, brands, service and how to reach sales, kept the same on your site, Google and the AI assistants shoppers use. We call it Business Truth.
A check on what AI actually says. We ask ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity about your store, your brands and specific units, and compare their answers with your record. Lehvel Observatory keeps watching.
A controlled way to ask. Read-only answers first. Then one action: an inquiry about a unit that reaches your sales team. It never holds a unit, takes a deposit or quotes a trade.
What's live and what isn't
Live today. Websites, search presence, checks of what the major AI assistants say about a business, and one managed record of the business behind it.
Building. The unit record for RV dealers with a source and a time on every fact, read-only answers for AI assistants, and one inquiry that lands with your team. We want one RV dealer to build it with first.
Not on the table yet. Holds, deposits, trade values, financing or delivery dates through an AI assistant. Each needs your rules, the buyer's identity and a person approving it.
We can't promise any assistant will send you a shopper. We can make sure that when one asks about your units, it gets a correct, current answer and a way to reach you.
Find out where you stand
Check My Business shows what AI assistants say about your dealership today, where your website and listings disagree, and what to fix first. A person at Lehvel reviews the findings before they're sent. No credit card required.
Questions
Do we need to change our website provider or DMS?
No. We start from the inventory pages you already publish, then the feed your website provider or DMS already produces. Nothing needs a login to your DMS.
Does this replace RV Trader or our other listings?
No. Marketplaces stay where they are. Lehvel keeps your own record of each unit correct and current, so the copies and the AI assistants have something right to agree with.
Will an AI assistant say a shopper's truck can tow a trailer?
Not through Lehvel. The assistant gets the weights the maker states, with their units. Whether a vehicle can tow it is the shopper's question to answer with their own truck's ratings.
Can an AI assistant hold a unit or take a deposit through Lehvel?
No. The one action is an inquiry a person on your team answers. Holds and deposits need your rules and the buyer's identity, and aren't switched on.
How do we see what AI says about our dealership now?
Run Check My Business. It compares what ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity say with your own facts, and a person at Lehvel reviews it before it's sent.
