Bing Places for Business is Microsoft's version of a Google Business Profile. It controls how your business appears in Bing search and Maps, and Bing's results feed Microsoft's Copilot. You can set it up in minutes by importing your Google Business Profile. For ten minutes' work, it's another accurate source about you.
Fewer people use Bing than Google, but it's the default search on many Windows computers, and Microsoft's Copilot draws on Bing's results. An unclaimed Bing listing can carry an old address or phone number, which then gets repeated.
It's not required, but it's quick, and an accurate Bing listing is one less wrong source.
