Someone edited my Google Business Profile. What happened?
If someone edited your Google Business Profile, it was a member of the public suggesting a change, Google updating details from other sources, or another manager on the profile.

A Google Business Profile is usually suspended because something looks like it breaks Google's guidelines: keywords added to the business name, an address that isn't a real staffed location, an oversized service area, or a category that doesn't match. Fix the cause first, then appeal through Google's appeals tool with documents proving the business is real.
Find and fix the likely cause, and make the profile match your signage, website and registration exactly. Appealing with the problem still in place is the usual way appeals get denied.
A reinstated profile can take a while to reappear and regain its position. If the appeal is denied, don't file the same one again: change what was wrong, then appeal with new evidence.
Often a few days, sometimes weeks. Google doesn't commit to a timeline.
Reviews usually come back when a profile is reinstated.
No. A duplicate profile can make the situation worse.
It can take time to settle. Check that nothing changed during the suspension, like categories or hours, and that the profile still matches your site.
