Google Business Profile video verification: what to film

2 min read · Updated

The short answer

Google Business Profile video verification asks for one continuous, unedited video that proves the business is real and that you manage it. Show where you are (a street sign or landmark, then your signage), the equipment of your trade, and proof of access, such as unlocking the door or opening your work van.

What to show

  1. Outside: a street sign or nearby landmark, then your signage.
  2. The business itself: the inside of your premises, or your branded vehicle.
  3. The tools or equipment you work with.
  4. Proof you manage it: keys opening the door, the till, a staff-only area.

If you have no storefront

Service-area businesses can film their vehicle, equipment and business paperwork. You don't need to film the inside of your home.

Why videos get rejected

  • Cuts or edits. It has to be one take.
  • Nothing that shows the location.
  • Too dark to make anything out.
  • Only a logo, or only a document.

What if Google rejects it?

Record again, fixing whatever was missing, or use another method if Google offers one.
