Using a Google reviews icon on your website

By · 2 min read · Updated

The short answer

The safest Google reviews icon is the one Google gives you. The free Business Profile marketing kit includes review stickers and graphics with the Google logo already approved for that use. On your website, a plain "Review us on Google" button linked to your review link works too. Don't redraw or recolor the Google logo.

What Google's brand rules mean for you

Google allows its logo in some marketing uses and asks that it isn't changed, stretched, or made to look like Google endorses you. Using the kit's files keeps you inside those rules without reading them. Icon packs on free download sites often ship old or altered logos.

Where the icon earns its place

  • Near the footer or contact section, linked to your review link.
  • In the email signature your team sends after a job.
  • On printed receipts and cards, with a QR code beside it.

Questions

Can I show my star rating next to the icon?

Yes, if it's current. A review widget that pulls the live rating avoids it going stale.

Where do I get my review link?

In your Business Profile, choose Ask for reviews and copy the link.

Can I use the old Google My Business logo?

No. That branding was retired; use current Google files.
