How to find your Google Business Profile ID

The short answer

To find your Google Business Profile ID, search your business on Google while signed in to the account that manages it. Open the three-dot menu, choose Business Profile settings, then Advanced settings. The Business Profile ID is listed there. It's a long number, and it's different from the Place ID that maps and review tools use.

Profile ID or Place ID?

  • Business Profile ID: identifies your profile inside Google's management tools. Support asks for it.
  • Place ID: identifies your location on Google Maps. Review widgets, review links and developers use it.

Finding the Place ID

Google's Place ID Finder, on the Google Maps Platform documentation site, looks up any business by name. Search yours and copy the ID it shows. It starts with letters, usually "ChIJ".

Is my profile ID private?

It isn't secret, but there's no reason to post it publicly.

Does the ID change if I edit my profile?

No. It stays the same through name or address changes.

Why can't I see Advanced settings?

You may be signed in with an account that isn't a manager or owner.
